Rev. Anthony D. Owens, is a native of Los Angeles, California. He was educated in the catholic school system graduating from Piux X High School. He is the son of the late Bernie and Mary Bell Owens. He is blessed to be united in holy matrimony to Deaconess Susan Owens with two step-children: Jasmine and Eddie. After obtaining an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronic Engineering from ITT Technical Institute, he enlisted in the United States Navy on January 25, 1987, as an Electronics Technician out of Los Angeles, California.

Rev. Owens served in his home church, Bayview Baptist Church in San Diego, California, on the Men's Ministry and The Media Ministry. He served under the guidance of the late Pastor Timothy Winters and current Senior Pastor, Terry W. Brooks. 

 

He was licensed to preach in August 2012 and ordained in July 2013. He joined First Missionary Baptist Church in 2013 and has served in various ministries. HIs favorite passage is: Jeremiah 29:11  "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
