Deacons are servants of the Church. They serve as a council of advice and conference with the Pastor in all matters
pertaining to the spiritual welfare and work of the Church. Their role is biblically based on the scriptures found in
1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Matthew 6:1-6. They serve as role models and should be examples of compassion and stewardship.
They are involved but not limited to the following: leading worship services, evangelism, welcoming new members
into the congregation, administering sacraments, Holy Communion, Baptism, visiting sick & shut-ins (homebound):
hospitals, homes, and Serving on ministries & committees.
