A Great Place to Worship and Learn about God
First Missionary Baptist Church, (FMBC) is a “God Centered Church, Serving With Joy and Striving for Oneness.” The church has been in existence for over 143 years. It blossomed under the leadership of Pastor Reverend Dr. William H. Graham for over 30 years and his vision and leadership led to the church's growth and to the building of its current sanctuary. In December 2022, Pastor Graham retired and Pastor Timothy McLaurin, Jr. accepted the call to pastor FMBC.
Currently, there are over 700 members who are constantly supporting and serving the Frederick Community.

To magnify Jesus Christ through a commitment of the preaching and spreading of the Gospel, missionary support, faithful stewardship, and Christian education;

Proclaim the Gospel to everyone;

Lead people to Christ through systematic witnessing and sharing our faith at home and abroad;

Train and nurture each disciple as mandated by Christ in Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 2:41-42;

Be loving, just, kind, and forgiving, always encouraging each other to be more like Christ;

Seek to be a servant church as Christ was a Servant Lord;
