Rev. Dr. Lisa Stallworth

Rev. Dr. Lisa Ann Stallworth is an assistant minister at the First Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC) in Frederick, MD under the former leadership of the Rev. Dr. William H. Graham.  Prior to FMBC, Rev. Stallworth served for 15 years as an associate minister of the First Baptist Church of Guilford (FBCOG) in Columbia, MD.  At the age of 14, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus, MS, and began her walk with faith.  She praises God for her aunt, Mary Jenkins, who led her to Jesus Christ and is still a great source of encouragement.

In October 1997, Rev. Stallworth accepted the call to the gospel ministry and delivered her first sermon on January 14, 1998, entitled “God Will Use You, If You Let Him”.  She was licensed on March 29, 1998, and ordained on October 20, 2003.  Rev. Stallworth was licensed and ordained at FBCOG under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. John L. Wright.  On August 3, 2004, at
the endorsement of her late pastor, she was installed as the first African American female chaplain for the Howard County Police Department.  She was also blessed by God to be the first female to preach the Word of God at several churches in the south.

Rev. Stallworth is a native of MS and the daughter of the late Peggy Blake and Samuel Scott.  She is a 1987 graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS.  For 20 years, she worked as an auditor for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Inspector General, Office of Audit Services.  She worked for 13 years as an auditor team lead for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), a division within DHHS.  Currently, she works in SAMHSA, Center for Mental Health Services as the program coordinator/team lead for the Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI) Program.  Overall, she has worked in HHS for over 35 years.

Rev. Stallworth seeks daily to win souls to Christ.  At FMBC, she served as a member of the Evangelism Ministry, New Members Class, Basic Bible Study Class, Women’s Ministry Spiritual Leader, and Women’s Prison Ministry.  She has been blessed to travel to Italy, Greek, Turkey, Africa, and Asia for ministry and for fun.  In April 2016, Rev. Stallworth, and some friends, through a vision from God, hosted a “Women of Purpose Marriage Retreat” on a three nights cruise to Nassau, Bahamas.  The retreat, which involved 10 women, was a great success and a blessed event.  Rev. Stallworth firmly believes that a woman can fulfill her calling to be a wife, if she understands the purpose and power of being a woman of God.

In August 2022, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, Rev. Stallworth started the “Delight Yourself In the Lord Single Women’s Ministry”.  The ministry meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month to encourage women of all ages with their season of singleness.

Rev. Stallworth is a child and a humble servant of God.  On September 13, 2008, she was blessed to be united in holy matrimony to Rev. Jerald Devon Stallworth, the pastor of the Selma Community Bible Church in Selma, AL.  She is also blessed to have two adult stepdaughters:  Jessica Monique and Jennifer Michelle and a step-granddaughter:  Joanna Lynn.
